Once in a lifetime experiences

Ok. I've been trying to do this post for a week now. And since I'm forcing myself to do it tonight, it's not going to be good enough. There is no way to possibly describe the experience I had with K and P last Wednesday.

It's true that K and I love this band. Lucky for me, P likes them too. It's also true that we went to see them in Chicago last February since K and I had made a pact that if they ever came close to us, we would travel to see them. We were convinced they would never come to St. Louis. Boy were we wrong.

I just have to say, I have never experienced anything like sitting in the front row of the Great Big Sea concert. (how that happened is a longer story than you probably want right now...if you haven't heard it yet and would like to, let me know) Yeah, we might have acted like teenagers. Yeah, you would have thought we were "those girls". But you know...it will go down as one of the most fun things I've ever done. The only thing I regret is that I didn't have the presence of mind to pull out my camera phone and take a picture. Not...one...stinking...picture. Sad. They were SO close...

So, that was one 'once in a lifetime experience'. You may have noticed that I said 'experienceS'.

Tomorrow, I am joining the ranks (albeit temporarily) of the 'public transportation commuters'. Poor P's car is out of commission for about a week and a half. Since he has to get to Chesterfield, and I only have to go downtown, it makes more sense for him to have the car. I have a lovely coworker that will be picking me up from the Metrolink station so I don't have to ride the bus.

Wouldn't want to get that authentic. Heh.

Seriously though, ever since that trip to see GBS in Chicago last February, I've said we need better public transportation. I would LOVE to take it more often, to more places. But frankly, it's confusing. It took me almost a half an hour to try to find all the info I needed for tomorrow. And I really only needed to know what train to take so that I could make it to the Convention Center by 7:55 a.m. In Chicago, you can look at the bus stop map that is located at every stop to figure out where you need to go. You can travel on a whim if you want.

Anyway, it will be an interesting experience. I'll have to make sure I have my phone all loaded with songs, earphones in, and maybe a book so I can fit in with the crowd. Wouldn't want to stand out...

God bless Illinois...Sprint on the other hand...

Why should God bless Illinois but not Sprint? Well it's quite simple really.

Last night I was carded in Illinois...twice.

Today Sprint has renewed my belief that this new "power vision" service is only a new way to get more money out of me. I used to have Picture Mail included, now it costs $5 extra. Sheesh.

Now there is REALLY no excuse!

Hello from my handheld computer!...err, I mean phone.
Technology is amazing these days. I am so curious to see if this works and what it looks like...and if I can keep from using TextTalk. :)
Of course, now i have no excuse!
